The New Providence Road Improvement Project has decreased traffic congestion and relieved motorists frustration, with a major upgrade and improvement of the road network. The project includes construction of 11.6 miles of roads, and comprises of nine new roads, major improvement of ten existing roads and numerous new or improved intersections. The project included the major reconstruction and improvement of numerous roads within the urban environment of Nassau. Much of the works were undertaken out of busy commuter hours to minimise disruption to the general public and road users. The works for BHM being predominately:
