As part of the Downtown Nassau Revitalization Project working for the MoWT and the Downtown Nassau Partnership, BHM were engaged to carry the reconstruction and rehabllltatlon of Bay St road leadlng from Blake Rd all the way to the busy Downtown Hiiton Hotel.

This formed part of a wider scheme to improve traffic management and pedestrian facilities within the area.
The scope of works for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of West Bay St roads included;
• Traffic Management design, notices and provision of signage to ensure works carried out safely and with minimum disruption
• Replacement of collapsed culvert and drainage
• Removal of any damaging vegetation and tree roots
• Sidewalk and kerb replacement to bring up to modem, disabled compliant standards
• Installation of temporary architectural bollards
• Installation of 60,000 sq ft of new decorative paver side walk
• Full depth reconstruction of the Bay St road and carriageway between Blake Road and the Downtown Hilton Hotel including intersections
• Associated thermo plastic road markings.
