Bahamas Hot Mix Limited (BHM) has officially been contracted to complete the construction of a temporary causeway at the Taino Beach Bridge that is set to begin mid-October 2025. The causeway will bring relief to residents, local businesses and visitors to the area that have been inconvenienced by the existing weight limits on the current bridge structure.
The limestone causeway will feature a 20-foot asphalt roadway that will have pedestrian shoulders and seawalls that rise higher than the canal. Construction is expected to take around eight weeks, as stated by Lucaya Service Company Limited (LUSCO) and Tamarind (Grand Bahama) Development. (October 4th, 2025)
BHM looks forward to the efficient and effective completion of this project, as it will ensure safer travel for all commuting through the area.
